Living with Type 1 Diabetes: Finding Faith, Grace, and Strength on Hard Days

Today, I’m feeling especially grateful. My faith has become such an anchor in my life, especially living with Type 1 diabetes and navigating the emotional side of managing a chronic condition.

Grateful for Easter.
Grateful for the reminder of sacrifice, grace, and unconditional love.

My faith has become such an anchor in my life, especially living with Type 1 diabetes.

The Emotional Side of Living with Type 1 Diabetes

Because if I’m being honest… this disease can feel heavy sometimes.

There are days when my blood sugars won’t cooperate no matter how hard I try.
Days when I worry about my long-term health.
And days when something like access to insulin or supplies feels uncertain and overwhelming.

Living with Type 1 diabetes isn’t just physical, it’s mental and emotional too

In those moments, it’s easy to feel like everything is on me, like I have to figure it all out and hold it all together.

But my faith reminds me… I was never meant to carry all of that alone.

Because of Jesus, I have the promise of grace.
Not perfection. Not control.
Grace.

And that changes everything.
It reminds me that even on the hard days:

  • I am supported
  • I am loved unconditionally
  • And G0d is always working behind the scenes, even when I can’t see it.

So today, I am choosing to rest in that.

To do my best……and let that be enough.

Happy Easter🤍
